Rural children left behind in today's question is a very common social problem, a lot of the young labor force in rural workers poured into the city, due to various reasons can not be special children close at hand, so most of them will stay at home by the elder child custody, so Grandparenting in rural areas has become a very common phenomenon. In this paper, the problem of children left behind by Grandparents Xifeng County, Guizhou Anlong Village street X as the main content to the local left-behind children and grandparents as the main guardian of the research object, casework and group work intervention methods, the use of Social Work theory,values, methods and techniques to explore the role of social work in rural areas to solve such problems.In the first chapter, on the basis of relevant literature to sort out the proposed research questions. The second chapter of Xifeng street children left behind in the field and grandparents guardians conducted a survey, interviews and observation,through data collection and statistical analysis, first elaborated the positive role Grandparents exist, then the situation in the local Grandparents grandparents and guardians of children left behind the problems were described in detail. Finally, the necessity and feasibility analysis of social work intervention. In the study found that local children left behind in life care, learning, emotional aspects, behavioral development have emerged some problems, grandparents guardian problem is mainly for cultural qualities is generally low, the ideas behind the lack of scientific knowledge of education, grandchildren heart emotional neglect, physical and psychological pressure and the like. It was also found Grandparents addition to negative effects, there is also a positive impact, mainly focus on training children to live independently ability to highlight the sense of responsibility, attention to moral education. The third chapter, from the perspective of social work practice, selected X Xifeng village streets as the most representative of the practical point of intervention,first serve needs analysis, and then the problem and needs to casework and group work methods exploratory intervention services, the final assessment of the results ofthe service and reflection. The fourth chapter of Grandparents social work practice in the rural areas will be carried out summary and reflection to extract practical experience, and make recommendations: First, to increase efforts to support rural ancestral groups; second, social work who should pay attention to improve their comprehensive ability; third, establish long-term mechanism of localization of social work services in rural areas.
