Since the Multiple Intelligence(MI) theory was presented by Howard Gardner, it has been widely applied in educational fields. There are abundant outcomes both on the theory and practice. MI Theory also provide some ideas for teaching Chinese as a second language. This paper based on the MI Theory and combining my teaching experience, mainly focused on the classroom activities design for young Chinese beginners and discussed how to design successful classroom activities base on the MI Theory. This paper is divided into several chapters as follow. The first chapter briefly introduced the cause and purpose of choosing this topic, summarized the MI Theory and its appliance in educational fields. It introduced some MI theory research outcomes on second language teaching and classroom activities designing as well. These became the foundation of my classroom activities design and provided some ideas as well. The second part was the classroom design based on the MI Theory, including the activities design background analysis(e.g. the students, the teaching environment, teaching contents and so on) and the specific design schemes with MI theory style. There are totally 39 design schemes in this part, involving purpose, form, steps, assessment of the activities in each design scheme. The third part was the feedback and the enlightenment of the classroom activities design with MI style. Firstly, it showed the feedback of these classroom activities from students, parents and local teachers and made an analysis. Secondly, it concluded the types and patterns, summarized the ideas and methods of classroom activity design and shared the experiences of designing classroom activities. The last part was the conclusion, indicating some deficiency of this paper.
