In recent years, the culture of family tradition gradually return to the real life of people and attracted more and more attention from all walks of life. The author thinks that the family tradition education has had a huge impact on family and the society,so I selected this to carry out a research into the master's thesis. In this paper, by adopting the combination of empirical and theoretical research methods, the author studied the influence of family trait education to contemporary college students' moral development and function.On the basis of previous studies, The author attempts to define concept of family tradition from the aspects of "movement" and "static", in order to clear the connotation of the concept of family tradition in this paper. The author probes into the theory of family tradition education research from the empathy theory and cognitive theory.And studies the theoretical assumptions for the key problems of this paper.In this paper, the contemporary college students family tradition education has carried on the empirical research. Through questionnaire investigation and interview, the education content, value orientation, methods and effectiveness of contemporary college students family tradition has been carried. The measured data are comprehensive and in line with expectations,Truly reflectde the contemporary college students family tradition education state of reality.Contemporary college students' family tradition education is primarily moral education. Education contents include traditional morality and modern moral, But its core is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation..The pursuit of family tradition education is supreme good on the moral level and follow the theory of obligation and perfection on the moral principle. The methods such as persuade education law, model demonstration method, practice education law have been reflected or used in the process of moral education.The methods of education is empirical and individual. In the process of education, the general characteristics and the characteristics of the times are staggered. And in the process of education, family tradition education showed strong interactivity and practicality.This paper analyzed the reasons behind the situation of family tradition education. Kinship factors of blood relationship effectively strengthen the moral emotion of individuals. The moral authority of parents shaped the individual's moral behavior. The factors such as warm home environment, methods and contents worked together to promote the effectiveness of the family trait education. At the same time, this paper analyzed the shortcomings and defects of contemporary college students' family traditions education. lacking of moral rationality, lacking of modern moral and Social morality, all of those shortcomings and defects impeded the development of education.This paper tried to put forward the new thinking and measures aiming at the problem of shortage. social education, school education and family education should complement each other. School education and social education should focus on teaching, and strengthen the training of college students' moral reason. We should have reasonable guidance to strengthen college students' moral cognition. Through social collaboration, mutual cooperation, create a social atmosphere, promote the healthy development of family traditions education.
