Social Work Intervene In The Structure Of Social Support Network For Shidu Old Man

“Shidu” is the sequela of Family Planning, in the last few years,social attention of ‘shidu' has been improving, but various systems and service organizations are still not mature. To effectively improve the situation of the elderly,the most urgent is to strengthen the elderly's social support network,in which social worker play an important role.In this paper, we use qualitative research methods, through the investigation of the D community and in the community's old men who is loss the singleton female,to collect relevant information. D community is located in the Daishan affordable housing, which is the portrayal of "upscale slums". The main problems of the Shidu include the absence of relevant policy support and the fracture of living environment,etc.Finally select a client as the research object,based on the research content and purpose.Guided by the social support network theory, ecological system theory and cognitive behavior treatment model,with the view of social work,and in-depth analysis of the needs of the elderly, tap their resources,construct the social support network,to help them come out of the shadow of life, and rebuild confidence.Through a series of social work methods, the author concludes that the problem of the elderly in the community is the following: Firstly, the basic dilemma of living,financial,pension and ignored.Secondly, Thinking and behavior is dominanted by irrational beliefs,lead them self-sealing.Thirdly, strangeness of the affordable housing,and with the lack of formal support and informal support, makes the old man face more urgent problems.Following the ethical requirements.Finally the elderly's life returned to normal by a period of intervention.In the case of the main professional service intervention, the author fully consider the special emotional status of loss of independence and acceptance of service, strictly abide by the ethics of social work. Through and follow-up, the case of the main situation has been effectively controlled and alleviated, the service object can use the right way of thinking, efforts to resume normal life. The author summarizes some suggestions in the structure of the social support network of the Shidu, and reflect on the use of skills in the service process of the kind of the client.
