In the formulation and im plementation of art curriculum standards in China' s primary school, more and more places and school leaders be gin to pay attention to the art ed ucation, especially after the art education reform, it has m et new developm ent opportunity and challenge. The main content of this paper is to research the effect of origami curriculum in primary school on practical ab ility, analyzes the p resent teaching situation of origami curriculum in primary school, and explores the significance of origami teaching and origami curriculum's importance on the training of students' ability. This paper is mainly aimed at the senior students in primary school, that is, 9---12 years old. At this stage, students have certain cognition of things that like the ri ch colors and are lively, so it's a best stage fo r children to take origami curriculum. Art education is a ve ry important part of quality education in primary schools, and origami class is an essential link of art education, which belongs to the “design and application” m odule, and is a pr actice course of m anufacturing and materials comprehensive application. It' s also a cour se where students can accum ulate experience through the practice, and their hands-on ability and innova tive thinking ability can improve. Origami is one of teaching c ontent art in or igami curriculum, which is a modeling art between the plane and three-dimension, and whose production process integrates technology of paper folding, paper flowers and paper tole. Origami curriculum plays an important role in their practical ability and aesthetic ability of color. So, effective implementation of every art class needs our m ore in-depth research, becau se only all the art teach ers design each art practice lesson attentively, use most creative ways to attract students and most effective way to help students reach the expected objectives and make efforts in each link, can we make art practice class play an important role in quality education and make the art education develop well in the near future.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction. It mainly expounds the research background of origami curriculum in the present stage, purpose, present situation and research m ethods; the second part m ainly elaborates the present teach ing situation of origami curriculum in elem entary school; the third part explores th e teaching d esign of origami art curriculum respectively from the teaching content, teaching process, and teaching evaluation. The fourth part is practical ability training and cas e analysis of pri mary origami curriculum teaching.
