After the reform of the new curriculum art education in any reform, Urumqi now use national art general materials has been unable to meet all or one that was suitable for various schools in Urumqi, general course in national art because of its own characteristics and limitations, not care to the specific circumstances of each area of the students, incomplete, it is impossible to give full consideration to the local actual situation and the school actual situation.The author found that the outstanding problems of school based curriculum in the Urumqi area of Xinjiang, Urumqi, Xinjiang area junior high school has a small proportion of the school art curriculum. At the same time, the present situation of the school-based curriculum of art and the demand of the students in Urumqi area are in sharp contradiction.
