A Study On The Development Of School Based Curriculum In Primary Schools In Inner Mongolia Area

With the development of tennis, more and more people have fallen in love with this sport which can help to get exercise. Therefore, it has developed into a supplement to the physical education curriculum. Not only is tennis helpful to build the campus sports culture atmosphere, but it also has a benificial effect on teenagers' physical and mental health. Based on the curriculum theory and using a questionnaire, the present study aims at finding out the present situation, the values and the effective ways of carrying out the tennis school-based curriculum so as to extend the teaching resources of the tennis school-based curriculum in Inner Mongolia.The first part of the introduction mainly explains the research project, including the reasons, significance, and aims of this research, research questions, research methods, research subjects and its originality. The second part studies the current situation of the tennis school-based curriculum in China and in Inner Mongolia as well in order to have an understanding about its development in the minority areas. The study is carried out in the Shengle School Affiliated to Inner Mongolia Normal University.The main body is composed of three parts. Part one is the literature review. It analyses the basic theories, the principles, the process and the values of developing and researching the tennis school-based curriculum.Part two introduces the tennis school-based curriculum of the Shengle School Affiliated to Inner Mongolia Normal University. It helps think of the values of carrying out the tennis school-based curriculum so as to express unique ideas about offering tennis school-based curriculum at the elementary level.Part three states the tennis school-based curriculum in Inner Mongolia. It tells how the teaching objectives are set, what are the principles of selecting teaching contents and how the teaching design and the methods of curriculum evaluation are finalized.Part four presents and summarizes the findings of the survey. It shows that offering tennis school-based curriculum at the elementary level plays an active role in students' studying and living. We should make evey effort to carry out physical education school-based curriculums in Inner Mongolia. Also, it makes some suggestions for the content settings of the tennis school-based curriculum in elementary school and puts up with some ideas about how to overcome the adverse effects of the tennis school-based curriculum.
