Research On The Causes And The Countermeasures Of College Students' Online Game Addiction

With the grown of the Internet and the development of online games,the number of Internet users in China have been increasing year by year.By June 2015,the Internet penetration rate was 48.8%,the netizens of China scaled up to 668 million,the number of online game users reached 380 million,Comparing to the end of last year increased 14.36 million people,Accounting for 56.9% of all the Internet users,Game players aged 19 to 25 account for nearly sixty percent of all users,thus it can be seen,online game has become one of the most favorite online entertainments for today's college students.Along with the growing popularity of online games,some college students have indulged in virtual and have reached the level of obsession.This addiction not only damaged their physical and mental health,but also created some negative effects to the family and society.As a result,online game addiction have drawn wide attention of researchers and the public.This paper,guided by the marxist theory of ideological and political education,based on the media literacy theory and flow theory,ideological guidance theory,and the theory of values clarification related theory,combining relative knowledge of psychology,sociology,and communication,gives an empirical research on the college students online game addiction.Our study shows that unlike of the normal online game players in university,addicted students have different degrees of obstacles in life order,learning motivation,moral behavior and interpersonal communication,which not only do harm to the healthy development of college students,but also fail to live up to the expectations of family,school and the society.This paper argues that the phenomenon of online game addiction among college students is mainly due to the lack of self-control of the college game players,the neglect of family and the lack of social responsibility of game developers and operators.Therefore,only the combining of improving college students' self-control,more care and attention from the family and school education,and strengthening the guidance and supervision of the whole society to the online game development and operation,With a variety of measures,Four in One,can effectively prevent the phenomenon of college students' online game addiction.
