Yantai has witnessed a rapid economic development since it carried out the reform and opening-up policy,leading to a great continuous increase of people’s material living standard.Meanwhile,the demands for spiritual life pursuit has been increasing,and an increasing number of people have started their elegant life with more various needs.Therefore,the number of young children learning music has sharply increased,and primary school students have become the main reserve members of the national music development.Considering its popularity among current musical instrument,keyboard has become learners’ first choice.Young kids in kindergartens are not mature enough to take up musical instrument learning due to their lack of intelligence development and concentration degree,as well as their potential of hyperactivity.It’s clear that primary school students are on the best stage of developing their interests and other various capacity ability power,including their musical instrument learning.As it has been pointed out in New Curriculum Standard,music teaching can not only develop students’ quality of music and aesthetic but also can help them form an excellent personal character.Keyboard musical instrument has been an important part of music teaching process,which can enable students enjoy music and improve their quality.As a result,the current amateur keyboard musical instrument teaching should be paid more attention and arouse the relevant official departments and schools.In spite of the current rapid development of primary school amateur keyboard musical instrument in Zhufu District,Laishan District and Development Zone in Yantai,the related research on this field is scarce.This paper carries out a survey on students of Yantai keyboard teaching subjects in training institutions located in those three districts mentioned above,and points out the problems of keyboard instrument teaching as well as puts forward the feasible countermeasures.Based on the professional knowledge background,this paper adopts methods of literature study,questionnaires survey and interview in the process of research.Five training institutions and five private keyboard teacher representatives have been visited and interviewed,and additionally,training teachers,primary school students and students’ parents have been researched as training objects in order to learn more about the current situation of this field.The paper contains five chapters.The first chapter talks about introduction,including the research background,research purpose and its significance,literature review,objects of study and methods.The second chapter talks about the current research on primary school amateur keyboard teaching situation status.The third chapter talks about the presenting problems and causes in the process of teaching.The fourth chapter points out the relevant countermeasures and suggestions.Hopefully,this paper can make contributions to amateur primary school keyboard instrument teaching and development as well as provide the theoretical basis for the teaching through the research.
