Participation type teaching method emphasis all the teachers and students together to establish democracy,harmony,lively atmosphere in the classroom,let different levels students have participation and development opportunities,it is a cooperative or collaborative teaching method;the participation type teaching method pay close attention to learners as the center,make full use of the flexible and vivid teaching methods,encourage learners to actively participate in the teaching process.This paper states the concept,connotation and characteristics of participatory teaching method,understand and grasp the present research the problem,identify problems and deficiencies of the prior study.After discussed with a number of experts,scholars,it make sure that " College Table tennis Teaching Method questionnaire " contain three parts of sports core literacy:athletic ability,sports ethics,health behaviors.Based on "College Teaching Method interview outline ",this study interview 12 experts.To reveal the relationship of College Table Tennis participatory teaching methods and training athletic ability,cultivate sports ethics,cultivate student health behaviors,this study selected two natural classes which include a total of 86 people(54 boys,32 girls)from Central South University of Forestry and Technology,according to a similar levels form a group.Based Similar levels of two students form a group,all students divided into a total of 43 groups(27 groups in which boys and girls 16 group),and 43 groups were randomly divided into two teams,will apply participate teaching methods and traditional sports teaching model for comparative experiment.The following conclusions are obtained:(1)Compared with the traditional teaching method of participatory teaching,there was no significant difference in improving students' physical exercise,it have better effect in improving technical and tactical ability;(2)Participatory teaching has significant effect on enhance students' athletic ability,strengthen sports ethics,cultivate health behaviors.Based on the experiment result,this study consider and analysis the control problem of experimental indexes,some uncertain factors,determine the direction of future teaching,and it suggest teachers to strengthen guidance to reduce the individual differences of students,change the concept of teaching to reflect the students' subject the status,increase class quantity and course time to ensure the teaching quality,and understanding the students before lessons,group reasonable,richful forms of activities to enhance the quality in course,training students awareness of sports,lifelong sports idea after course,and provides reference value of participatory teaching method to table tennis and other sports disciplines for other studiers.
