By consulting and integrating all the available literature on the Sexual Concept,the Sexual Concept is defined as ? the perception and thinking about various phenomena of self,others and society related to sex,including cognition,emotions,attitudes,views and judgments.Sexual concepts are divided into the right ones and the wrong ones based on the social regulations and morality.The right sexual conceptions will help the youth to make right decisions and behave right.Junior middle school stage is very special and important in one's lifetime.Junior middle school students will embrace the second fastest growth in life As their sex organs grow and sex hormone is secreted,secondary sexual characteristics of junior middle school students appear,which means their sex begin to mature.However,the development of their sexual psychology is far behind that of their sexual physiology.For example,they are easily affected by the environment as to make mistakes in sex due to impulse and poor self-control.Besides,there are immoralities in society.For example,some people think material desires dominate and money is everything.They are apt to be affected by those thoughts.What's more,we are living in the information age.Junior middle school students are constantly surrounded by the wrong information in sex conveyed by various media,including TV,the internet,films,books,even songs.Living in such a complicated environment,junior middle school students are dramatically stirred by various sexual concepts.“what concepts are wrong?what concepts are right?why?what shall I do?” Sometimes,they are at a loss what to do.Therefore,it's the right time to help them to form the correct sexual concepts.middle school students' sexual concept and its influencing factors are revealed in the thesis so as to offer some practical advice on sex education of middle school students..This thesis uses the method of case study of qualitative research.Using in-depth interviews with six junior middle school students in Chengdu.,we arrive at the following conclusions:1.Junior middle school students' overall sexual concepts are assessed as the open type which differs from western sexual freedom and sexual liberation.On the contrary,it shows their curiosity about sex.They are exploring sex and try associating with members of the opposite sex,which exactly reflects their simple thinking and immature sexual concepts.2.Junior middle school students think it natural for them to like an opposite sex of the same age.The majority of them think it normal to present the person of the opposite sex with love tokens and love letters.However,hey think a boy and a girl are in love if they go hand in hand,hug each other and kiss each other.They have their boundary between the relationships of being fellow students and being lovers.The students in puppy love tend to hold relatively open sexual concepts.3?The majority of junior middle school students are opposed to homosexuality.Some students tolerate homosexuality in others,but they won't tolerate it in himself /herself.They want the fellow students of the same sex to keep them company,which,they think,is not homosexuality.4.The majority of junior middle school students think it normal to have dreams about sex;some students think dreams about sex make them somewhat guilty.5.The majority of junior middle school students are opposed to masturbation;some think masturbation can help them release their pressure.6.The majority of junior middle school students think it normal for them to have puppy love while they object the kind of puppy love which negatively affected their study.7.The majority of junior middle school students are opposed to their premarital sexual behavior.The students,especially in puppy love,think it normal to have premarital sexual behavior.8.All the junior middle school students are strongly opposed to trading sex.9.The majority of junior middle school students look forward to true love,while some have a negative attitude to love.Parents have a great effect on their children's concepts of love and marriage.The majority of junior middle school students are opposed to their parents' divorce and sexual behavior outside marriage.As the sexual psychology matures,the students in junior three have more tolerance for parents' divorce.10.There are mainly two influencing factors in junior middle school students' sexual concepts,including the environmental factors and the individual factors.The gender,personal knowledge of sexual physiology belong to the individual factors.The environmental factors include family,fellow students,school.
