Nowadays, with the development of higher education and continuous expansion of colleges and universities, the grass-roots administrative work is becoming more and more multifarious. Their work pressure is also growing. More and more grass-roots administrators get burnout.This paper researches on burnout of the grass-roots administators in the colleges and universities by reading literature, questionnaire survey and visiting research. This paper uses the MBI-GS designed by Maslach to analyzes the performance of burnout of the grass-roots administrators from the physiology, psychology and behaviour, and elaborates the impact on the grass-roots administrators themselves, the management of colleges and universities, family and society. Ecology Model Theory proposed by Carroll and White in 1982 which considered that the reason for burnout was personal factors and environmental factors influence each other. Personal factors include the individual needs of grassroots administrators, career planning, personal work expectations, personal work skills, their psychological quality, effort and reward is imbalance; and environmental factors are mainly grass-roots administrators get a low professional identity, performance evaluation mechanism is unreasonable, less opportunities for job promotion, low-cost benefits, grass-roots administrators' training is not attention and the future development space is small. According to these factors, this paper focuses on individual factors and environmental factors, put forward suggestions about burnout from individual, colleges and unversities and society, and hope it can overcome burnout of the grass-roots administrators.
