Today, globalization as a major trend of world development, it has a significant impact on many aspects of the economy, politics, culture and education. Driven by the force of globalisation, there emerge, in the field of higher education, interdependence, interpenetration and mutual learning and borrowing across countries in various forms, e.g. international students, exchange scholars, newly imported curriculum, and etc.Education is thus viewed as an important productive point for national economic growth and trade development. In order to respond to the challenges posed by globalization, as well as to meet the requirements of China's higher education development, Sino-foreign collaboration in various programmes have been in great demand for the actual development of our society.This article reviews the progression of China's higher education in the context of "globalization" with reference to the case of Sino-British collaboration in the era of educational globalization in which three main models of collaboration are drawn and analyzed so as to provide evidences for causes & effects, pros and cons of each model, namely Affiliated Inter-institutional Campuses, Partner Inter-Departmental Ventures and Joint Degree Programmes.It is anticipated the findings will serve as useful reference for immediate and future improvements...
