The state of higher vocational education is paying more and more attention to the reform of the internal management mechanism of higher vocational colleges and thus puts forward more and more requirements,especially for the construction of teaching staff.Talents developing strategy is the common concern for higher education participants especially higher vocational education participants.Under the influence of the strategy,many higher vocational colleges put emphasis on performance management of full-time teachers,taking it seriously as an important measure in the process of the construction of teaching staff.But there are many factors that have made the development of higher vocational education immature and imperfect.Nation-level model vocational colleges being the main research object,this paper focuses on the performance management of full-time teachers,combining performance management theory and incentive theory with the reality of each school.Firstly,this thesis elaborates such concepts as "higher vocational colleges","national demonstrative higher vocational college","the basic theory of performance management" and "incentive theory" etc.Secondly,this paper analyzes five characteristics and five existing problems of performance management on the basis of a large number of journal literatures.This paper also explores performance management of university teachers in the mainland,Hong Kong,Taiwan and some western countries,clarifies international trends of performance management and points out the advantages and disadvantages of performance management of nation-level model vocational colleges compared with colleges and universities at home and abroad.And then this thesis deals with how to design performance management of full-time teachers in nation-level model vocational colleges,states briefly the basis for the design and expounds performance management process.Further,this paper gives suggestions for the identification of the subject and object of performance appraisal and proposes quantitative and qualitative index system for reference.Finally,the thesis takes Nanjing Institute of G as a case for empirical research,analyzes its performance management process,the subject and object of evaluation as well as evaluation index system,and puts forward suggestions for its performance management of full-time teachers.
