Vocational education has been paid more and more attention as the society develops,which brings both opportunities and challenges to the higher vocational schools.The key to the development of the higher vocational schools is to establish a strong faculty with advanced ideas.Performance appraisal is a powerful tool to mobilize teachers’ enthusiasm,which helps the teachers improve their own ability,thus promoting the development of the school and improving the comprehensive strength of the school.At present,there is no mature system for performance assessment in the higher vocational schools.What’s more,there are many problems and mistakes in the performance assessment process of the higher vocational schools.Therefore,it is of great significance to establish a full set of performance assessment scheme that matches the characteristics of the current higher vocational education.The thesis conducts a performance appraisal in a higher vocational school,namely G Vocational College,by using the method of key performance appraisal index,based on the analysis of the current performance appraisal situations at home and abroad,as well as the theory of performance appraisal.The thesis designs a teachers’ performance appraisal scheme in accordance with G Vocational College situation.It first introduces the basic situation of the college;and then it analyzes the existing problems in teachers’ performance assessment in the college by means of questionnaire survey and interview.Some KPI indicators are determined by taking G Vocational College’s development strategy into consideration –– The KPI indicators at the organizational level are determined by brainstorming and fishbone diagram;The KPI indicators at the department level are determined through index decomposition;The KPI indicators at the employee level are determined by using the decomposition of strategic indicators as well as the results of questionnaire surveys;While the weight of KPI is determined by Delphi method and weight factor judgment table method.Taking the KPI indicators at the employee level as an example,the thesis classifies the performance appraisal level and establishes the performance appraisal standard;after that,the thesis reviews the KPI indicators,thus completing the design of teachers’ KPI indicators.In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the performance appraisal program,the assessment scope and cycle of performance appraisal,the principles to be followed in the implementation of performance appraisal,as well as the implementation procedures of performance appraisal are taken into account;Furthermore,the implementation of the performance appraisal is guaranteed from the perspective of system level and ideological level.At the end of the thesis,certain main achievements,innovation points,shortcomings and prospects are illustrated.To sum up,the thesis provides a case reference for the establishment of performance appraisal system in the higher vocational schools by designing the performance appraisal scheme in G Vocational College,combining the performance appraisal theory with the practical situation.
