Application Of Social Support Networks Reconstruction With Case Management On The Aged Men Losing Their Only Child

A part of parents losing their only child,if they cannot adjust their attitudes timely,will be self-enclosed gradually facing the loss of their only child.The social support network concerning the aged men losing their only child will become incomplete or even terminal fracture when rejecting interaction with the outside lasting for a long time.Research shows that the rupture of the social support networks will cause personal disease in aspects of body and mind,resulting in the difficult maintenance of personal daily life.Therefore,it should be an important part in related researches on the aged men losing their only child to reconstruct the social support networks concerning the aged men.With the continuous expanding of the population who lost their only child,the case quantity of researches by the domestic scholars on the aged men losing their only child are increasing until now.In general,the researches on the reconstruction of the social support networks concerning the aged men losing their only child are focused on the exploration of the basic theory and there is a relative lack of the application study of social work involving in.Will the professional approaches of the social work play a role in the reconstruction of the social support networks concerning the aged men losing their only child?Which model can be used properly to deal with this problem?Based on this consideration,this study selected grandmother Q in Z community of Nanjing City as the research object,the grandmother Q is an aged women losing their only child.Try to use case management for social work intervention,to help them rebuild the social support network.The study found that in the Q grandma's social support network,an informal support network part in addition to the normal operation of family support,friends and family support,peer support,neighborhood are different degrees of fracture.Formal support network part in addition to the community support as well,the support social organizations and units,government support also failed to play a role.The existence of these problems,with the client's cognitive bias,relative lack of patience,social organization is not active and the government cares less all have a close relationship.Under the guidance of individual case management methods,social worker do some investigated to know the Q grandma's social support status,problems and the reason,then,they used six month time to found out many social resources such as friends,community,lost the only self organization,old service agencies,government to ensure that operations run smoothly.Assessment results show that,many problems such as client's self-enclosed,ruptured relation with relatives,full incredulity against the self-organization of the aged men losing their only child and having no faith in the government,resulting not only in the reconstruction of social support networks concerning breadwinners but also in making client love their life again.Case management is a new mode of social work.It applies to reconstruct the social support network of the aged men losing their only child.Not only have advantages to comprehensive assess the need for the client,design of comprehensive,personalized service.Also help overall,coordinate all kinds of social resources,for the client improve and create a good environment for development.In the process of the intervention,Social workers mainly play the role of supporters,counselors,brokers,and coordinator.This study presents,social support network reconstruction work for the aged men losing their only child should pay attention to advocate the relatives and friends to do a good job for the elderly care.Play the primary advantage of community to enrich the spiritual life for the aged men losing their only child,pay attention to the professional social worker personnel training and team building.to strengthen the attention and support of government departments,in order to provide a reference for the fixture development of the aged men losing their only child social support network reconstruction work.
