Teaching preparation is the foundation of teaching for teachers.First,we believe that teachers can improve the quality of teaching through careful teaching preparation.Second,from the perspective of the three most basic elements of teaching,teachers'professional development,effective implementation of the curriculum,and students'all-round development,they all largely depends on teachers' effective teaching preparation.Thirdly,it is also a key point of the new curriculum reform.Research on present situation of teaching preparation is the prerequisite for other researches.However,existing researches are mostly about the teaching preparation what it ought to be.And,most of the researches focus on its basic contents,problems,and strategies.There is few researches focusing on actual situation and its characteristics.To deeply study the present situation of teachers' teaching preparation,this research sampled junior middle school mathematics teachers in Z city.The common options are offered for teachers to choose.We have done a descriptive statistics analysis after obtaining valid data through SPSS22.0.First,we analyzed the basic situation of junior middle school mathematics teachers' teaching preparation from four aspects which are time arrangements,orientations,ways,and references.And,we compared the differences between teachers' teaching preparation from six dimensions which are teachers' seniors,genders,grades,class advisers or not,professional titles,and areas.As a result we found that,young teachers spend less time preparing teaching than senior teachers,their enthusiasm remains to be further improved.Most of the teachers claim to be student-oriented,but few can put it into practice.Teachers from different areas have a significant difference.It is necessary to create healthy and progressive culture atmosphere.Male teachers have less enthusiasm in participating in teaching activities than female teachers,so it is important to improve their professional identity.Some teachers are used to copying teaching resources on the internet.It must be managed strictly.Most of the young teachers are said to take the senior teachers'teaching materials as references and listen to their advises,but there is still no perfect relative system now,so the mentor system needs to be future developed to help the young teachers.Communication and cooperation between teachers need to be future strengthened.The quality of collective teaching preparation needs to be future improved.
