As one of the positive emotions,Gratitude,through the construction of a variety of physiological,psychological and social resources,improving the individual living conditions,changing the individual perspective and the way of thinking,is of great significance to individual development.The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding on the development of gratitude for students with hearing impairment,to provide a reference for effective education for families and schools.This study consists of three parts:Firstly,based on the existing measurement,this study established a theoretical model suitable for research of gratitude of Chinese hearing impaired middle school students.A questionnaire for hearing impaired middle school students was made according to that theoretical model.With this "Questionnaire of Gratitude of Hearing Impaired Middle School Students",this study investigated hearing impaired middle school students’ gratitude and its related factors.At last,Implicit Association Test(IAT)was used to explore hearing impaired middle school students’ implicit effect of gratitude and its relationship with explicit gratitude.The main results indicated:(1)The "Questionnaire of Gratitude of Hearing Impaired Middle School Students" made for investigation included three dimensions,cognition,affect and the behavioral tendencies.The reliability and the validity of the questionnaire met the standard of the psychometrical requirements,implying it can be used to evaluate the development of gratitude of hearing impaired middle school students.(2)The level of gratitude of hearing impaired middle school students was high overall,gender difference was marginally significant,and there was no significant difference in grade and the severe of hearing impairment.The factor whether the hearing impaired middle school students was the only child of the family or not and whether the parents had been divorced or not did not differ much in their gratitude.Individuals’ different feel levels of social support could significantly predict the level of gratitude.(3)There existed extremely significant positive correlations among the scores of gratitude,self-esteem and the subjective well-being.There was significantly negative correlations between the scores of the whole mental health and gratitude.There was significantly negative correlations between the paranoia,interpersonal tension,sensitivity,learning stress and the gratitude.There was extremely significant negative correlations between the anxiety,maladaptation,mood imbalance,psychological imbalance and gratitude.(4)The implicit effect of hearing impaired middle school students’ gratitude was extremely significant,and there was no significant correlations with the explicit one.They are relatively independent system.(5)The implicit effect of hearing impaired middle school students’ gratitude was no significant difference in gender,grade and the severe of hearing impairment.
