An individual's "subjective perception of stress" has more important health effects than the stressful event itself. To some extent, the research on perceived stress emerged with the in-depth development of "stress" research. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status and characteristics of perceived stress among hearing impaired middle students in China, and to provide reference or guidance for schools and families to implement effective intervention. So that hearing-impaired middle school students can correctly understand stress, cope with stress, and gain comprehensive development. In this study, the “perceived stress scale” was compiled to apply to students with hearing impairment.Based on this, investigate the current status and characteristics of perceived stress among hearing-impaired middle students,as well as the relationship among perceived stress and perceived social support,resilience,state-trait anxiety, and subjective well-being of hearing-impaired students. The findings are as follows:(1)Compiled "perceived stress scale" had good reliability and validity, which Met psychometric criteria. It could be used to measure the perceived stress of hearingimpaired middle school students.(2)The perceived stress of hearing-impaired students was at a medium level.Hearing impaired students' perceived stress had significant differences in different school periods, the degree of hearing loss, whether they are the only child and the place of origin.High-school hearing impaired students had higher levels of stress perception than junior high school hearing impaired middle school students.Hearing level for level 4 hearing impaired students' perception of stress was more than the other three levels of students.Hearing impaired middle school students who are not the only child had a higher level of perceived stress than that of hearing-impaired middle school students who are the only child. The degree of stress perception of hearing-impaired middle school students born in rural was higher than that of hearing-impaired middle school students born in urban. There was no significantdifference in the perception of stress among hearing impaired students in terms of gender and whether they are only children.(3)There was a significant negative correlation between perceived social support and perceived stress.Besides, perceived social support could predict perceived stress. In other words,if hearing-impaired middle students perceive more social support, they will perceive less stress.(4)There was a significant negative correlation between perceived stress and resilience.Perceived stress could predict resilience negatively.Besides, there was a significant negative correlation between perceived stress and subjective well-being.Perceived stress could also predict subjective well-being negatively. And perceived stress had a significant positive prediction effect on state-trait anxiety, and the sense of tension in hearing-impaired students predicted trait anxiety slightly more than state anxiety.
