The Effect Of Narcissism And Empathy On Middle School Students' Helping Behavior

Since the 1960 s,helping behavior research began to rise and had rapid development,with the development of the socialist market economy and the introduction of western individualism values,in recent years,people are becoming more and more narcissistic,helping behavior is also trying to reduce,personality traits in recipients and providers affects people's helping behaviors,people's behavior will be affected by not only the influence of personality traits,and will also be influenced by situational factors.Narcissism and empathy as individual's very important personality traits,will be an important influence on helping behavior,so this study was to explore the trait of narcissism and the relationship between empathy and helping behavior,and the situation of induced condition,state of narcissism and impact on helping behavior.This study used the teenagers as the research object,including two parts of relevant research and experimental research.Research for the related research,with the method of questionnaire survey,has chosen a total of 420 subjects,mainly discusses the traits of narcissism,the relationship between empathy and helping behavior.The experimental research induced by situational approach,has chosen a total of 220 subjects,this paper mainly discusses the state of narcissism and empathy effect on helping behavior.Based on the above research,key findings are listed as following:1.The level of empathy of youth can significantly influence the helping behavior,whether it is the higher the quality state of empathy or empathy,helping behavior of the individual is higher;2.The traits of narcissism can significantly negative predict helping behavior,and the state of narcissism could significantly positively predict helping behavior;3.State empathy and state narcissi tic's interaction is obvious.Under the condition of narcissism startup,empathy start group and helping behavior of emotion control group no significant difference;And under the condition of narcissism control,empathy to start helping behavior of empathy is significantly higher than control group.Characteristics of narcissism and no significant interaction between affection;...
