How to improve primary school students' ideological and moral quality attracts great attention recently.As an ancient goes that,“good behaviors cultivated in one's childhood will become a part of his nature.” It ought to strengthen moral education on students during their primary school with deepening disciplinary knowledge education especially the Chinese knowledge learning as the premise.In terms of the current elementary education,systematically infiltrating ideological education into teaching practice such as Chinese teaching,classics reading and beautiful essays reading is an effective and workable method to improve primary school students' comprehensive quality.What's more,reading classic articles in Chinese textbooks,excellent essays as well as classic books of traditional culture,etc.plays an extremely positive role in promoting students' moral quality and forming sound values.During the cultivation phrase,moral education paves way for Chinese quality cultivation,both of which can be achieved at the same time.This article starts with a specific object – primary school students – and takes integration of reading and moral education in Chinese teaching in Erlianhot No.1 Primary School as an example to analyze and study the current situation,effect and existing problems in the present integration of reading and moral education in Chinese teaching.Countermeasure and suggestion are provided subsequently.In orderto achieve the goal,No.1 Primary School adopts two ways of extracurricular practice and in-class practice.Extracurricular practice includes five forms: school-based teaching textbook,Chinese classics reading,reading in the morning and afternoon,permeating schoolyard with reading and characteristic moral education and adopts three specific methods of “reading teaching,textbook teaching as well as characters and phrases teaching” to improve the effect of integration.The effect of integration includes the improvement of Chinese knowledge and ability as well as the enhancement of ideology and morality,which can be seen as the comprehensive improvement of Chinese quality,effective development of mentality and the formation of sound values.The main problems of the integration are lack of effective guide of moral education,ineffective integration method,incorrect moral education method and weak integration teaching effect.In terms of the existing problems,this article puts forward some countermeasures and suggestion to improve the effect of the integration,which includes “ lead the teachers to pay equal attention to knowledge and morality,enhance the moral education during classes,organize more reading activities,create more room for reading,build an environment for reading in schoolyard and join hand in hand with parents,etc ”.The integration effects,countermeasures,suggestion and problems in this article are still not so perfect and in-depth research remains to be conducted.In any case,this article bears much hope as a reference for future research and teaching practice.
