Self-study examination system is a pioneering work in the history of Chinese education,even in educational history of the world.since its establishment,it makes relevant adjustment in terms of the changed social economic condition and educational environment.Although there are many achievements,it also faced with many difficulties and challenges.In order to seek the right route,the relationship between self-study examination and economic-society development should be harmonized in the field of practice.And the professional structure will be cleared up and the internal logic will be found out in the realm of theory.This research can be divided into four parts:The first part mainly talks about the research background,research status,research objectives,research significance and research methods and so on.It also explains the two core concepts:self-study examination and structural adjustment.The second part studies the history of structural adjustment,which can be divided into 3 stages according to the different development task,about the self-study examination in our country.The first stage,from 1981 to 1988,is initial stage which has not form an intact system and is just based on the professionals of social shortage.The second stage,from 1989 to 1998,is expand stage in which the service area and development patterns can be developed and the ordinary higher education is its blueprint.The last stage,from 1999 to now,is transforming stage in which the type,the scale,the life cycle of professional structure are adjusted adaptively and the major connotation can be improved in a certain extent.The all-life education system is also set up in this stage.The third part research the situation about structural adjustment in self-study examination system.This thesis considers that the model structure adjustment of higher education,insensitivity to the demand of labour market,not adapting to the environmental change of education and lacking of autonomy.The fourth part thinks deeply how the structural adjustment of self-study examination developing our country.This thesis considers that the structural adjustment of self-study examination should be blossomed according to the economic development and complement the other higher education system.In addition,it should adapt to the life-long education system and coordinate the multiple factors.
