As a national important support of the nine-year compulsory education,middle school English teaching and primary schools English Teaching are key periods for the formation of a student's knowledge system and foundation.Although it has long been seen as a coherent period,but in fact they are linked but separated from each other.The relevant information on the convergence of the two have been analyzed and proposed,but there is no systematic and comprehensive solution to the existing problems.If middle school and primary school education are still lack of coordination,the gap will become larger and larger.With the continuous deepening of the reform of national basic education,the connection of English in primary and middle schools is becoming more and more prominent.English courses are offered in middle schools in many areas,but the effect of primary school English teaching is not ideal,due to the limitation of relevant educational conditions.In recent years,with the acceleration of economic development in Qingdao,many "new citizen children "come into the middle schools in the city.."New citizen children" compared to the "non new citizen children" are quite different in many ways.This has brought difficulties to.the teaching of primary school and middle school English teaching.This research mainly adopts the teaching material analysis,questionnaire survey,interview and other comprehensive research methods,with 23 in Qingdao as the research sample,from the teaching content,teaching methods,teaching evaluation and related research on the connection of English Teaching in primary and middle schools.The paper analyzes the current situation of primary and secondary English cohesion,and tries to sum up the teacher's efforts to effect and the problem:Teachers in NO.23 middle school put much effort on researching the inner link of two periods' teaching material.They can practice the reasonable use of teaching materials,and they pay attention to the phonetic teaching,but there are teachers who arrange the teaching contents according to the requirements of the teaching content and curriculum,regardless the phenomenon of huge gap of English learning of primary school and middle school.The evaluation condition in NO.23 middle school is getting better and better.The teachers' evaluation pays more attention to student's learning process,using periodic evaluation and summation evaluation with the combination of evaluation methods.But teachers plays the main role in evaluating the students,and the evaluation ways and methods are lack of diversity.Paper test is still the primary means to evaluate students' evaluation in the process,still too pursuit of test scores and rankings,ignoring the students' own efforts and learning phenomenon.This study for the education of these new citizens' children helps to arouse the attention of education department,as well as the attention of school and the teachers of middle and primary school.And it can make teachers realize the importance of cohesion study and necessity of promoting the teacher constantly reflect on their own English teaching,through the study of cohesion theory and English teaching reflection,and continuously for the innovation of teaching methods,so as to put forward more suitable education teaching modes for new citizens children,and eventually be able to promote new citizens children transition in the transition learning.
