A Study Of The Application Of The Model Method In Physics Teaching In Junior High School

In the 21 st century,knowledge is updating as fast as the chain reaction,and the competition in the society is intensifying greatly as well.So we should pay more attention to helping students master learning methods and improve their learning skills.As an important one of the scientific methods of physical science-the model method,it provides the possibility for the need of the society.Learning the model method can not only simplify and purify the practical problems but also cause students to understand the core nature of phenomena and apply theories to practice.In addition,it can also improve the students' scientific literacy.Through the study of the model method in physics teaching and its teaching methods as well as the related theories,the author has deeply understood the meanings,the classification of the model method and some relevant contents.By learning about the application status of the model method and the answers from the questionnaires and tests previously,we find that the following problems exist among the students during the process of modeling.(1)the influence of understanding the concepts of the model(2)the interference of the imperfect representation of objects(3)the lack of the training of procedural thinking(4)the impropriety of knowledge migration(5)the lack of imagination,the author puts forward the application strategies of the model method in physics teaching of junior high school,and this study uses the model method for the overall design,taking the unit “Simple machines and work” as an example.Respectively from the conceptteaching,rule-teaching,experiment-teaching and exercise-teaching,the study puts forward the feasible teaching mode and conducts it in teaching.By contrasting the interviews and data of the two classes through the whole school year,the model methods are determined to be able to improve the quality of thinking and strengthen the consciousness of the students' modeling.Students' mastering the methods of modeling can greatly improve their abilities of modeling and application of models.
