The Analysis Of Decision Process Staying In Beijing To The Non-native Graduate Students

With the high-speed expansion of the floating population in Beijing,there are increasing contradictions among the urban population.Although Beijing has taken stricter floating population control policies,it is still the preferred city for many college graduates.Adopting the methods of literature and interview,this study goes from the surface of the stay-in-Beijing decision deeper into the inside truth.From the angel of the subject and by studying those graduate students who have stayed in Beijing,the paper explores how the non-native graduate students have made the decision and analyzes the dynamic process of their career choice and stay-in-Beijing decision.The major findings of the study are summarized as follows.Firstly,the decision-making process is a complicated process.A general process includes three stages: 1.pre-admission stage,the preliminary reason for coming to Beijing to study,2.during-college period,the power of promoting to staying in Beijing gradually.3.after-graduation stage,the future life planning.Secondly,attitude has had a direct impact in stay-in-Beijing decision.The decision process of those who have decided to stay fluctuated less than the process of those who haven't.Whether they choose to leave Beijing or not in the future depends on two aspects.One is whether they can get adapted to the living conditions and the pressure of house buying,education as well as competition.The other is whether they have a sense of acceptance and identity,which is demonstrated in daily life and work and is the most important motivation for them to stay.Thirdly,the completion of the stay-in-Beijing decision is the result of a combined action of different factors.On the whole,such factors as the personal development needs,family and growth environment and social environment have a certain degree of influence on the stay-in-Beijing decision for graduate students.Last but not least,self-efficacy,stay-in-Beijing decision and career decision influence and promote one another.
