With the aggravation of the aging of population of China, the number of Chinese families turns into empty nest increases continuously. For empty nesters, their hearts are suffering, because they not only have to face the aging of the body, but also have to endure the torment of the soul. Paying attention to and caring for empty nesters should be social consensus.The author chooses empty nesters of F college community in the Fujian province as target group and tries to take the strengths perspective as the point of penetration in this paper. The author gathers information through the investigation of 30 elderly empty-nesters in F college community. In the process of survey, the author makes an indepth interview with elderly empty-nesters on some dimensions, such as gender, age, the way of residence. The interview involves their normal daily life, their interests, and what kind of resources they seek for help when they meet difficulties and so on. Via detailed analysis of intervention process of social work, the author believes that the empty-nesters of college community who have much more superior resources than any other ordinary elderly empty-nesters, but different types of the elderly empty-nesters still have some problems. However, these problems can be resolved through fully using superior resources by the elderly empty-nesters. The research indicates that there are still existing two types of resources in the college community which have not been able to fully use by elderly empty-nesters at present. They are hospital and dining hall in the college. These two resources can be utilized to guarantee basic medical needs of elderly empty-nesters in the college community, and to bring them some convenience in the life. It is believed that if elderly empty-nesters in the college community can make good full use of all the superior resources they have, they will have a happy life in the old age.
