Social Work Intervention Study On Eliminating Household Safety Risks Of Urban Empty Nest Elderly

With the advancement of China's aging process,the number of empty nesters is increasing,due to the decline of the body's aging and self-care ability,they face relatively many problems in the home environment,Social work involves the safety risks of urban empty nests,which can make up for the deficiencies of government departments in home-based care,help improve the safety of urban empty-nest elderly people,and make them better enjoy their old age.Based on the theory of ecosystem theory and empowerment theory,this study interviews the empty nesters in a certain district of Lanzhou City to understand the basic needs of urban empty nesters and focus on the needs of their household safety risks.Serve urban empty nesters in the form of casework to help them improve their household safety risks.Through interviews,the author found that urban empty nesters face the need for electricity safety,medication safety,gas safety and fall prevention in terms of household safety risks.Compared with the previous research,the author intervenes in the case of the case from a microscopic case work perspective,through the needs assessment,the author found that the client faced the need for electricity safety,medication safety and fall prevention,through casework,the author links the community resources to the client,empowers the client,and helps the client to improve t household safety risks to a certain extent.This study believes that in addition to the development of professional social work,,families,communities,and social work service agencies should also provide linkages for urban empty-nest elderly people to provide more support for household safety risks.It is also necessary to form a social atmosphere of respecting the elderly and loving the old people in the whole society,so that more people pay attention to the urban empty nest elderly.
