Research On Cultivation Of High School Students' Value Selection Capability In The Context Of Multiculturalism

With the development of globalization, the progress of democratization and the advent of the network information age, our cultural environment has become increasingly pluralistic and open.Since high school students are in a critical period of forming values, their physical and mental development is not yet mature, showing characteristics of blind, unstable and malleable.The multicultural environment is to some extent affected their choices of value. Therefore, the CPC Central Committee attaches great importance to the value education of high school students. To help high school students form correct values and make right choices, we must foster and strengthen their capability of value selection.This paper is based on facts. With the purpose of knowing the situation of high school students' value selection capability, the writer has observed and interviewed some high school students in a middle school in Fuzhou during her internship.The writer has found that high school students have problems in value selection such as blind conformity, standard variety, utilitarianism and separation between cognition and practice. The main reason is influenced from social environment, family education and school education. Since school education is the most important part in training high school students' value selection capability, this paper presents the corresponding cultivation strategy in the respect of school education, pointing out the necessity to make full use of ideological and political class and take it as the main front in training high school students' value selection capability. Meanwhile,we should pay attention to proper guidance in daily life. The observation and guiding role of head teachers must be enhanced,the leading role of the community service should be highlighted and the influence of online education platform must be valued.
