This study takes separated military families as the research object,exporing the influence of separation to military families,risk factors and protective factors faced by separated military families and the characteristics of family resilience under the action of risk factors and protective factors through the qualitative research method.This study found that the effect of separation to military families includes four aspects:(1)destroy the integrity of the family structure;(2)affect family functioning like care,affection,birth,education and support;(3)affect the communication of the family;(4)affect the family's social interaction.The risk factors faced by separated military families in addition to the negative impact of the separation,but also includes seven points:economic pressure,major diseases,weak emotional basis,negative beliefs,complaints of family members,the accumulation of contradictions and lack of social support.This study describes the protective factors of the separated military families from the perspective of family resilience:(1)Protective factors of family belief systems:love and affection are the foundation,the psychological expectations of life of separation,families have reached a consensus on the reasons for the separation and the living arrangements,make meaning of separation,positive outlook on life,surpass the pressure.(2)Protective factors of family organizational patterns:balance between the order and flexibility of family,family cohesion and inclusive family atmosphere,family resources and social support.(3)Protective factors of family communication processes:clear communication within the family,emotional sharing among family members,Family members are able to negotiate and compromise.According to the role of risk factors and protective factors,the study divided the family resilience of the objectives into four types:the family who can surpasses the pressure,the family who is calm in pressure,the family who is looking for solutions actively during stress,the family who is fragile and unstable in pressure.Research suggests that we can improve family resilience for the separated military families from the following two aspects:(1)strengthening social support and reducing the risk factors;(2)founding advantage of the family and enhancing the protective factors.The research puts forward six practical countermeasures:(1)advocate top-level policy design and develop military social work;(2)integrate the separated military families into the primary service system and connect resources between military and local government effectively;(3)provide parental education services and improve the efficiency of parenting education;(4)provide guidance for marriage and family relations and promote harmony within the family;(5)enrich the social support network and promote the use of social support;(6)explore the family's own potential and enhance family protection factors.
