Learning society represents the progress of national civilization and is the required development of the current era.Establishing a learning society has become a trend in developing international social education.The concept of learning community is multifaceted,while its construction and realization will be influenced by many factors.Among them there is community education,which is a fundamental program.As a result,reinforcing thedevelopment of community education has irreplaceable practical significance in building learning society and promoting social progress as well as the comprehensive development of mankind.In response,this paperwill focus on the performance management of community education projects to investigatehow these projects has positively affected and improved the construction of learning society.During this process,Panyu,one of the national community education demonstration areas,will be taken as an example.Firstly,a thorough analysis of different elements in its community education projects will be provided to identify gaps and shortcomings therein.In the second part,the basic content,index and criteria of performance management of community education projects will be illustrated and discussed.Ultimately,it is expected that a system that includes all these factors can be established as reference and guideline to evaluate the effectiveness of community education projects in other situations.Meanwhile,this paper will also try to further examine the feasibility and value of this proposed system by drawing on other case studies.
