In the premise of the rapid development of Information Technology, basic education and undergraduate education have embarked on the road of Education Informationization, and vigorously promoted the curriculum reform, which has achieved remarkable results. But in contrast, graduate education is still stagnant. There are some problems in the course of graduate students, such as unclear-cut distinction between graduate course levels, single instructional mode, and loose connection with scientific research, etc.Worse still, the course is divorced from the real needs of students and can not effectively cultivate the scientific research and innovation ability of graduate students. Therefore, this paper puts forward Learning-Research combined graduate course, studies its instructional design on the basis of needs analysis, and aims to construct the Learning-Research combined mode of Instructional Design based on needs analysis so as to carry out the Instructional Design of Learning-Research combined “Digital Media and Learning Technology”course. The paper begins with the review of involved theoretical basis using literature survey method. Then a questionnaire survey was adopted and questionnaires were distributed through the Internet to research on the graduate students of the domestic full-time colleges and universities. The data collected from the valid questionnaires were analyzed, and the results of the needs analysis were generated so as to understand the needs of graduate students.Through the analysis of the connotation and characteristics of Learning and Research Combination, this paper constructed a Learning-Research combined mode of Instructional Design based on needs analysis, and put an interpretation on the mode, elaborating its fundamental elements.According to the Learning-Research combined mode of Instructional Design, the paper took “Digital Media and Learning Technology” as an example to carry out the Instructional Design of graduate's professional courses. In the end, interviews were conducted with two groups of graduate students, and the results were analyzed inorder to define the effect of learning-research combined courses.Based on needs analysis, the mode of learning-research combined Learning-Research can be divided into three stages. The first stage is to carry out the needs assessment, defining the teaching problems and choosing the appropriate intervention. The second stage is to carry out the Learning-Research combined Instructional Design based on the analyzed result of needs analysis. The design includes target analysis, task or content analysis(Module Design and Task Analysis),strategy analysis(Inquiry Learning and Blended Learning),and evaluation analysis(the Evaluation System and Evaluation Tool). The third stage is the implement of the Learning-Research combined courses on the basis of Instructional Design and the analysis of the effect of the courses. The Learning-Research combined professional courses of graduate students can meet the needs of the students' own development, and closely combine the study of professional courses with academic research.Through the Inquiry Learning and Blended Learning etc,the graduate students can carry out research work in the process of course study, which not only promotes the understanding and mastery of curriculum, but cultivates and develops the scientific research and innovation ability effectively.
