Investigation Of Current Teaching Situation And Countermeasures Of Tennis Specialized Course Of Physical Education Department In Univer Sities Of Fujian Province

With the rapid development and wide spread of tennis,it now has a solid participation mass and vast potential sports consumption market.So we should attach great importance to talent trai ning for tennis education.Tennis has been set as a specialized course in some colleges and univer sities,which accords with the reform policy of the government.Talents of physical education dep artment in colleges and universities are the mayor force to improve the development of physical education and they cultivate many eligible physical education talents for the society.In the curric ulum provision of physical education department,the class hours of specialized course take up most of the proportion of all the teaching arrangement.Specialized course is a skill training optio nal course which is selected by students according to their personal hobbies,employment deman d and subject requirements.There is much more extend and improvement of specialized course th an general course in theory,technique and tactics and ability.Tennis is now flourishing developing as a new favorite to the students of physical education major in colleges and universities.To imp rove the quality of tennis teaching and to cultivate the elite talents of tennis education and trainin g which accord with the need of society are the main goals of the teaching objectives of major co urses of the physical department in colleges and universities.The quality of tennis teaching now is put on the agenda as a base factor of carrying out tennis teaching activity.However,according with the investigation of the writer,the teaching efficiency of the tennis optional course of the ph ysical education department in colleges and universities of Fujian Province is dissatisfactory and doesn't match with the speed development of tennis.Under the influence of many complex factor s,the carrying out of tennis course of physical education department in colleges and universities is negative effected and it restricts the entire promoting of physical exercise in colleges and univ ersities in a certain extent.The writer investigates 7 universities of Fujian Province which set up tennis specialized cour se in methods of questionnaire survey,logical analysis and mathematical statistics and the writer did investigations mainly in the faculty,hardware and software supports and the teaching status of the tennis specialized course of these universities,and made these conclusions :Teaching goals are set reasonably,curriculum provision is quite ideal,positivity of teaching object is very high,while the teaching methods remains to improve,the basic conditions of teaching remain to optimize.After analysing the current teaching situation and problems existing,the writer put forward rel evant counter measures:laying omphasis on practical ability of the students,simplifying and opti mizing the content of courses,reforming the teaching methods and skills,structuring scientizing e xamination and evaluation system promoting entire quality of the students and improving the fac ility conditions of the sports grounds.
