Environmental threats to wetland ecosystems are increasing, and wetland ecosystems are becoming increasingly fragile due to influences by human activities.Poyang Lake is the largest freshwater lake in China as well as important wetlands in the world.Poyang lake's ecological environment construction not only close with ecological barrier construction in Yangtze River Basin, but also significant important with economy develop of Jiangxi Province. At present, with the rapid development of social economy in the Poyang Lake region, the environmental pollution in wetland has been serious, water pollution and related environmental changes have increasingly drawn the scientific community's attention.Play the leading role of government and guide the broad participation of business, residents and other relevant stakeholders, taking effective ecological environment protection and management measures, constructing reasonable Poyang Lake ecological compensation mechanism and scientific ecological compensation policy has become a common consensus.Among them, research households' willingness to pay for ecological compensation has become basis in in determine the compensation standards and compensation methods as well as other core issues about ecological compensation. The goal of this paper is to provide insights into the environmental pollution to the Poyang Lake region as perceived from the household's perspective, and to investigate their willingness to pay for ecological compensation and its influencing factors. Therefore, this paper uses the method of CVM and payment card questionnaire, talking to households face to face, and guide them choose acceptable highest pay amounts. We obtain CVM data from recycling of 156 valid questionnaires, and use Excel and SPSS statistical software to analyze the results of the survey, and use the binary Logistic model to analyze the influencing factors of willingness to pay.The main research results are as follows:(1)73.08 percent of the households are willing to pay for ecological compensation. The households' average willingness to pay is 258.35 yuan /(household)every year.Poyang Lake region households awareness of environmental pollution compensation is relatively high.(2)26.92 percent of the households who do not have willingness to pay for ecological compensation. The main reason for not paying is duo to the low income of the family;Followed by the environmental protection consciousness is not strong, they think that the environmental protection has nothing to do with them;In addition, the distrust of the government is one of the reasons why households do not want to pay.(3)The household's family income and attention to environmental issues affect their willingness to pay for ecological compensation significantly. The household's age, education level, income level and satisfaction to the environment are positively correlated with their willingness to pay.The household's main source of income, cognition of the importance of environment and the attention to environmental problems are negatively correlated with their willingness to pay.The household's gender, age, education level, occupation, cognition of the importance of environment and satisfaction to the environment have no significant influence on their willingness to pay for ecological compensation. The results of this paper's analysis will help managers develop more effective environmental management policies and ecological compensation manners.
