Applied Research On "Data Analysis" Column In High School Biology Textbook

The high school biology curriculum standards produced in the new round of basic education curriculum reform aim to improve the scientific literacy of students,develop the ability of innovation,cultivate the ability of scientific inquiry and change the learning style.The column of "Data analysis" as one of the most characteristic columns in the textbook fully embodies the above teaching ideas and plays an important role in the process of students' learning and teachers' teaching.In order to make better use of the column of "Data Analysis" in teaching,this research takes the module of "Molecular and Cell" in the PEP high school biology textbook as an example.This paper analyzes the contents and characteristics of the "Data Analysis" column by means of textbook analysis method,and uses the questionnaire survey and the interview method to investigate and analyze the implementation of this column at the author's internship school.Based on those,a practice research will be carried out to investigate the using situation of this column through the case analysis method and action research method.The results are as follows.Firstly,the column of "Data Analysis" in the "Molecular and Cell" textbook is helpful to the achievement of students' three-dimensional goals and the transformation of teachers' teaching methods and students' learning methods.Secondly,the results show that teachers generally believe that this column is consistent with the teaching idea and has certain value to the improvement of the students' ability.However,teachers' understanding for this column is not comprehensive.In the process of implementation,the strategies for different types of "Data Analysis" are not targeted.And the value of the column is ambiguous in students' mind.Thirdly,after one semester teaching for this column by using the case analysis strategy,the situational teaching strategy,the problem-based teaching strategy,the SCL teaching strategies,the outline teaching strategies and form-assisted teaching strategy,they author found that teachers and students' assessment for the value of "Data Analysis" section is improved and their satisfaction for the implementation of this column is higher.Above all,this study shows that strengthening and valuing the development and the using of the "data analysis" column in the teaching is valuable to improve the students' learning and practical ability and to achieve the three-dimensional goals and effective teaching.
