For a long time,as college enrollment is mainly according to the college entrance examination scores,making college entrance examination and enrollment evaluation often confused.After the relative separation of enrollment and examination,it is necessary to make clear that the college entrance examination is only one of the elements of college admissions,and college entrance examination enrollment is only one of the modes of college enrollment,too.College entrance evaluation is in connection with both higher education and basic education,which makes it an important link in the education system with the core role of regulation.On the one hand,it is the starting point of higher education's personnel training;on the other hand,it has a strong guiding effect on basic education.Therefore,college entrance evaluation is a major research theme in the study of education.On the occasion of the forty anniversary of the resumption of college entrance examination,this study takes college entrance evaluation system of ordinary undergraduate colleges as the research object.First of all,it takes the four kinds of enrollment patterns like college entrance examination,recommendation,independent recruitment and comprehensive evaluation as four clues,reviewing the reform process of Chinese college entrance evaluation since 1977,and seek a essential historical reference for current reform.Secondly,by introducing the college entrance evaluation system in the United States,Britain,Russia,Japan,Korea and Australia,analyzing similarities and differences among those countries,this paper tries to find out some useful experience from other countries to solve China's increasingly prominent enrollment problem.Then,on the basis of functional analysis and efficacy comparison,it researches a coordination strategy between college entrance examination enrollment mode and comprehensive evaluation enrollment mode.Finally,based on the reflection of problems and misunderstandings in the recent reform of college entrance examination,this paper probes into the methods and countermeasures to further improve the enrollment mode of college entrance examination.The study found that China's college enrollment evaluation shoulders educational function,select function and social function.Each of college entrance examination enrollment mode and comprehensive evaluation enrollment mode has advantages and disadvantages.In order to link up the functions of education and selection in educational domain,and to improve the efficiency and fairness between educational function and social function,we should firstly take college entrance examination as the main enrollment mode,and then steadily promote the comprehensive evaluation enrollment mode.For college entrance examination enrollment mode,the new round of reform has its ideal starting point,but it is also facing a series of problems in enrollment,teaching and students' growth.we can try some new reform ideas to solve these problems and improve the program of college entrance examination.
