Study On Social Work Of Children's Peer Relationships Establishment In Resettlement Community

With the progress of urban-rural integration,resettlement community gradually becomes a new type of community form.Specifically,the development of the children living in such communities is noteworthy among social workers.Existing studies are more inclined to special groups such as problem children and homeless children,hence less attention on children in settlement communities.The researcher analyzes the questionnaire results,interview results of children in Community J regarding the establishment of friendship as well as the developmental status of the establishment of friendship among the children in Community J based on the arrangement of existing study results regarding the children friendship establishment in communities from multiple angles.A few problems among the children friendship establishment in Community J are discovered,including limited opportunities to be engaged in social contact,boring life;poor continuous socializing,and non-lasting friendly;lack of social skills,and immature social skills etc.From the perspective of the community,the reasons that cause such problems can be attributed to the resettlement of the community,the change of resident structure in the community,and the change of the living environment in the community,as in the resettlement of the community imposes significant impact on children friendship.The researcher designs a practical solution with the assistance of a heap of literatures after attribution analysis and needs assessment,and a “Friendship Program” group event and “Hand in Hand,We're Good Friends – Community Event Plan for the Promotion of Friendship among Children” are formulated with the use of group work and community building,which intervene in the self-cognitive capacity,emotional expression,social networking of the community children mainly by holding four group events,and community events such as “Friend's Home” community building project,“Companionship” peer support project,and “Hand in Hand” peer expansion project,in order to perfect the support system for the establishment of children friendship.Meanwhile,SPSS statistical analysis software is employed to analyze how these children live,their psychological reaction and cultural adaptation before and after the intervention of social works,and the performance of children in group and community events are observed and assessed for the assessment of events.Than we can draw the conclusion of the research.It was concluded that sense of belonging and identifications in children peer relationship were strengthened;The will of establishing relationship among children and communicative ability were improved;The network of relationship was gradually build.Finally,the results of the project are concluded and reflected,and practical suggestions are proposed to families,schools,communities and community organizations.Families have to create a good atmosphere,parents shall pay more attention on promoting the establishment of friendship among children;schools shall further enhance the education of children friendship and create role models;communities shall integrate assorted resources to actively create platforms where children can communicate;social service organizations shall keep strengthening their professional abilities,further improve the lasting of service quality,and all involved parties shall work together to facilitate the establishment of friendship among children.Meanwhile,professional methods such as individual case work,group work and community work in social works shall be incorporated to help the healthy growth of the children living in resettlement communities in compliance with their personalities and common features.Social works methods are adopted in this study to explore and establish friendship among children living in resettlement communities,and Community J is used as the example,where the children group in resettlement communities are focused,and the background,measures and suggestions of how the friendship among children shall be established are discussed.The comprehensive advantages of friendship support,community education,social service organizations,and social groups shall be made the most of in order to facilitate the communications among children,providing an excellent environment where they may grow up healthily and happily,offering effective attempts for the establishment of children friendship in communities,and bringing beneficial effects on community development.
