Purpose: examining the effects of different dynamic stretching volumes on vertical jump,flexibility and muscular endurance.Methods: 12 female boxer of Beijing sports university performed three separate randomized dynamic stretches:(1)5-min moderate aerobicrunning +6 min rest(2)5-minmoderate aerobicrunning + a dynamic stretching routine(3)5-min moderate aerobicrunning + a dynamic stretching routine with twice the volume.Vertical jump and sit-reach were measured prior and post all conditions.Leg press was measured after the warm up.Results: The(2)and(3)conditions increased VJ height,while the(1)did not improve.The(2)condition did not improve leg press,whereas the(3)condition lead to a significant(15.6%)decrease in the number of repetitions completed.Flexibility increased following all conditions(P<.01).Conclusion:6 min of dynamic stretching may be the most appropriate volume to improve VJ performance,flexibility and muscular endurance in female boxer.
