The paper based on our universal application of the "pep" junior high school chemistry textbook "Chemistry" and the American mainstream science textbook of junior middle school "Science Explorer " of "Material Composition" and " Chemical Reaction" as research object,It follows the methods of literature,comparative analysis,case study and statistics to analyze the contents expression forms of the two versions textbooks.On the macro content,comparative the content and the Presentation of the teaching materials,on the micro,by the typical cases to comparative the two teaching materials.The research shows that,in the aspect of content setting,the teaching material of PEP scientifically dealt with the relationship among three factors: students,subjects and society.However,in the construction of discipline knowledge system,The arrangement of the content system is more systematic of chemical textbook in America,Compared with the Chinese version of the teaching material,the United States teaching materials more interdisciplinary has more full content and more extensive areas;the situation material is more abundant,more vivid and attractive;For the use of advance organizers,the United States emphasized the exploration of teaching materials and the use of hand and brain,adding to the fun of learning;For the application of chemical history,the PEP version pays more attention to the introduction of Chemistry History,also introduces a number of local the chemists and the scientific research achievements,but not show the specific course of the study,the learning method is relatively simple,and it is lack of the original references and related resources link.In the aspect of the presentation of the textbooks,the American version's columns are more diverse,and emphasizes the cultivation of students' self-learning ability;In terms of chart setting,the PEP version prefers brief and regular,but relatively rigid,while the American version presents lots of pictures,images and life scenes production of high-tech products,it is closes to real life.Besides the typography is more vivid and beautiful;For textbook exercises quantity,the American version has comprehensive coverage types,and pays attention to the design level,the difficulty of progressive and comprehensive exercises;At last,the American version's texts are more interactive and friendly.There are following suggestions for the compilation of domestic junior high school chemical textbooks.The content system of junior middle school chemistry teaching material in our country should be strengthened with other disciplines;The content should add further enrich the situation teaching in various types of materials;The application of the advance organizer should emphasized the exploration of teaching materials and the use of hand and brain,adding to the fun of learning;The typical and complete chemical theory or technology development of chemistry history should be shown;It should pay attention to the level of difficulty and the cultivation of students' comprehensive ability,progressive and comprehensive of exercises design;The texts should be more interactive and amiable.
