With reference to the Laurinda Leite Analysis Scale, this paper compares and studies the chemical history knowledge in the latest PEP(2019 edition)high school chemistry textbook in my country and the British CIE A-Level "Chemistry"(2014 edition)textbook. From the perspective of the core literacy of the chemistry subject,"Atomic Structure and Periodic Table of Elements" in the compulsory 1 of the People's Education Edition is selected as the research content, and teaching practice research and teaching case design are carried out. This research is mainly divided into the following chapters:In the introduction, the background of the subject selection involved in this thesis is expounded, the domestic and foreign research literatures are introduced, and the research methods, research objects and research problems of this thesis are given.Chapter 2 introduces the theoretical basis of this research and the definition of related concepts.Chapter 3 makes a comparative analysis of the history of chemistry in Chinese and English chemistry textbooks from the perspectives of content and presentation with reference to the Laurinda Leite Analytical Scale, and then takes "Atomic Structure and the Periodic Table of Elements" as an example for a case study.Chapter 4 is guided by the High School Chemistry Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition),takes "Atomic Structure and the Periodic Table of Elements" as an example, integrates the materials of the history of chemistry in Chinese and English textbooks, and conducts innovative teaching case development and design and teaching practice research. This research selects two senior grades with roughly the same level, adopts the control variable method, and compares and tests the effect of teaching practice in the form of teacher classroom performance evaluation, student achievement comparison and student questionnaire survey.Chapter 5 summarizes and reflects on the shortcomings of this thesis, and gives the prospect of the future development of chemical history education.Through this study, some similarities and differences in content and presentation of the history of chemistry in Chinese and British chemistry textbooks were found.Similarities:(1)The scientists are mainly foreign and male;(2)The materials are mainly based on modern chemical history materials;(3)The presentation is mainly a combination of images and words of scientists.Differences:(1)The number of Chinese textbooks on the history of chemistry is much larger than that of the British textbooks;(2)About 13% of the materials on the history of chemistry in the Chinese textbooks involve the history of ancient chemistry, while the English textbooks do not;(3)The materials on the history of chemistry in the Chinese textbooks are mainly The medium is the main, and the English version of the textbook is mainly short.Based on a comprehensive comparative analysis of the history of chemistry in Chinese and British textbooks, this paper puts forward some suggestions for the compilation of Chinese textbooks on the history of chemistry:(1)Appropriately add the content of historical experiments;(2)Add more female scientists and Chinese local scientists to introduce the perspective.can be diversified;(3)increase the penetration of the scientific method through the history of chemistry.Through teaching practice, some teaching suggestions on the history of chemistry are obtained:(1)Reasonably choose and use the materials of the history of chemistry, and determine the depth and breadth of the content;(2)Carefully design the teaching plan to maximize the teaching value of the materials of the history of chemistry;(3)Pay attention to students' emotions(4)Pay attention to the requirements and suggestions of the curriculum standards.
