In recent years,with the rapid development of national economy,polity,culture and education,students quality-oriented education has been drawing more and more attention.School music education plays a very important role in it.The major carrier of school music education in China is music course.But the single classroom teaching is no longer the unique form of school music education.The extracurricular musical activity based on practice emerged and has become a component together with classroom teaching of school music education.As one of the extracurricular musical activity with a strong practicalness,school national orchestra appeared.Students join the orchestra in their spare time could not only rich their school cultural life,but also gain aesthetic education.It improves the aesthetic quality and humanistic feelings of all students.It is of great importance to cultivate students' taste and comprehensive ability.Meanwhile,the national character of the orchestra could drive more students to get to know the Chinese folk music and learn it and inherit it,thus,to enhance the students' sense of national pride and confidence and to develop and expand Chinese traditional music as well as Chinese traditional culture.This paper takes the successful national orchestra in Zhengzhou No.4 Middle School as the sample to analysis.With this paper,I wish to make a little contribution to the establishment and development of school national orchestra in the primary schools and middle schools in China.This paper is developing based on three chapters:The first chapter is about the general situation of the national orchestra in Zhengzhou No.4 Middle School.It mainly introduces the external conditions of the national orchestra in this middle school which includes the policy of Zhengzhou government and Zhengzhou No.4 Middle School for orchestra development,school music education situation and the aesthetic education situation in Zhengzhou No.4Middle School.The second chapter is about the current education situation of the national orchestra in Zhengzhou No.4 Middle School.It mainly introduces the internal development and construction of the national orchestra which includes the hardware facilities,the establishment,the management and the training of the nationalorchestra,the survey of the students,conductor and their parents and also the activities and China and foreign exchange of the orchestra.The third chapter is about the enlightenment of the national orchestra in Zhengzhou No.4 Middle School.It mainly contains my point of view and understanding of this successful sample and I hope it could provide valuable suggestion for the orchestra development in the primary schools and middle schools in China.
