A Study On The Normalization Of Secondary Vocational Students' Voluntary Service

In recent years,as China pays more attentions to vocational students' volunteer service and youth volunteer service is becoming more influential,more and more vocational students joined youth volunteer service and became new force in national youth volunteers.Vocational students' participation in volunteer service not only strengthens youth volunteer's capacity but plays an important role in improving vocational students' moral level.The relevant documents clearly put forward the volunteer service as an important carrier of moral education in secondary vocational education,more and more vocational schools have begun to volunteer service as an important supplement to the vocational education of moral education into the school's teaching plan.However,since Chinese vocational students volunteer service didn't operate for long and it lacked experience,there are some problems in promoting normalization development of vocational students' volunteer service.For example,incomplete management,lack of fund guarantee ignorance of government and school;these problems hinders the positive performance of vocational students' volunteer service.Meanwhile,based on literature review,the author found out that studies on youth volunteer service were mainly on college students and very few focusing on vocational students.The distinctiveness of vocational students' ages,learning environment and family background determines that other studies on youth volunteers not fit for vocational students.In this paper,it studies vocational students' service via case study,which would enrich our country's youth volunteer service research materials and theories.First of all,through the literature review,it is found that although scholars both in domestic and abroad pay more and more attention to the youth volunteer service,there are relatively few special studies on the volunteer group of vocational students.In the numbered research results on the volunteer service of vocational students,scholars in domestic mainly engaged in three aspects of such studies,including the significance,current status and countermeasures for enhancing development of vocational students' volunteer service.In general,the current studies and results are just on surface with theories level for lower rank of studies as well as the insufficient of abundant empirical evidence.Secondary,taking G school volunteer service as an example,which is a leading school in vocational students' volunteer service in Gaoyao District of Zhaoqing.On the basis of questionnaire,interview and literature review research,it studies the status of G school vocational students' volunteer service.The investigation is mainly related to eight aspects as following: the subjects' basic situation of the survey,and information channels,proportion and frequency,attitude,motivation,major organizations,and types of voluntary as well as subjects' experience and harvests from voluntary and proper approach to managing volunteer service organizations.And then,after data collection and analysis,the author finds that the primary existing problems in vocational students' volunteer service contains problems such as lack of volunteer service information publicity,failure of meeting vocational students' needs in volunteer service types,conflicts between volunteer service and vocational students' study life,insufficient guarantee of rights and interests for vocational student volunteers,short of volunteer service fund guarantee,lack of effective inspiration and evaluation measures and lower level of volunteer organization and management.The problems are not only caused by external factors such as government,society and schools,but also by internal elements including volunteer service organizations.If these prescribed problems cannot be solved or prevented effectively,it would impede the normalized healthy development of vocational students' volunteer service.In the end,starting from research status and existing problems in vocational students' volunteer service normalization,it summarizes about seven practical suggestions fit for vocational students.These suggestions cover countermeasures from four perspectives of government,society,vocational school and vocational student's volunteer organization.It requires joint efforts from government,society,vocational school and vocational volunteer organization to promote the normalized healthy development of vocational students' volunteer service.
