| Due to the increase of economic exchanges and cultural communi--cations between China and South Korea,the number of Chinese learners in South Korea increases day by day.South Korea’ s ministry of education advocates setting up Chinese courses to primary and secondary schools’ students strongly,which helps South Korean students learning Chinese from their primary school.So teaching Chinese language and spreading Chinese culture to South Korean students has become a fiery phenomenon.Chinese Program in South Korea is a major player of teaching Chinese to South Korean students,assisting the international promotion of Chinese,and spreading Chinese culture in South Korea.Chinese is a language with tone,and tone is a distinguishing feature of Chinese,which brings enormous difficulties to teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Chinese tone teaching to South Korean students is particularly difficult because there is no tone in Korean language.Most South Korean students,who are deeply influenced by their mother tone,ignore the significance of Chinese tone in distin--guishing meaning.Therefore,South Korean students are confronted with enumorous difficulties when learning Chinese,and they can easily make phonetic errors when speaking Chinese.This paper tries to find out some sffective ways of avoiding or reducing tonal error when teaching Chinese to South Korean students by recording every phonetic error of 697 students in Chuncheon Girl’ s High School,and propose appropriate pedagogical advice so as to help South Korean students learn Chinese more effectively and help promoting Chinese in South Korea and even the world better.This paper can be devided into six parts.The first part is introduction,which starts from the description of reasons and significances of the topic,explains the necessity and significance of teaching Chinese in South Korea.It also setts forth the current research status,research contents,research purpose and research method.In addition,it explains the theory used in this paper and corpus sources in detail.The second part introduces the evolution of Chinese tones mainly from Chinese tones’ diachronic evolution and synchronic character--ristic.The third part is a quantized analysis of Chinese tonal error of students in Chuncheon Girl ’ s High School.It mainly analyzes the data of students’ Chinese tonal errors that collected in each class.The fourth part tries to seek some reasons why Chinese tonal errors exsist when Korean students acquire Chinese language from the data Chinese tonal errors collected in each Chinese class.The fifth part tries to seek some effective ways of teaching Chinese to South Korean students on the base of Chinese tonal error data.The sixth part is conclusion,which expounds some insuffi--ciencies of this paper and gives some suggestions and expectations to more effective Chinese teaching in South South Korea and even all over the world. |
