Women are the world's soft power.As an important force in higher education,higher female college which plays a major role in the social economic and cultural life.has been writting to the miracle of women's higher education.In recent years,under the impetus of the big wave of the school education institutions,social awareness of women's college has decreased,the number of the world women's college also fell,but the women's higher education development still exists great value.Higher women's college in the United States is the world's pioneer of higher college for women,leading the direction of world women's college development,which made great contribution to the world of higher college for women.This article explores the development of the modern advanced women's college in background,concept and characteristics,and the problems existing in the development and trend of the future,and hope that through this study serve as a reference for our country the development of higher college for women.This article mainly from the following several aspects to discuss the modern advanced women's college:The introduction part introduces the reason of my choice and the research significance,as well as the domestic and foreign research of American women's higher education,higher female college literature were reviewed,also introduced in this paper,the research ideas and research methods.The first part mainly analyse factors influencing the development of higher college for women in the United States from the three aspects of political,economic and cultural background.The second part introduces us the four stages of development of higher college for women in modern times:(1)the germination period(18 century to the 19 th century): introduction to the emergence of private girls' school in the early and the birth of the women's college;(2)developing period(mid and late 19 th century to the 20 th century): discuss four different types: private women's college,public college for women,the church women's college and coordinate college;(3)challenging period(middle of the 20 th century to the early 80 s): introduces the social change after the second world war under the big trend,the school education institutions led to higher women's college in the United States faced to different fate: closed,became the school education institutions or incorporated into universities;(4)transitting period(since1980 s): explored higher women's college in the United States in the transition between the game,and continuously reform and adjustment under the impact of the us school education system.The third part summarized the development of higher college for women in the United States,including idea of servicing women's education,idea of keeping pace with social and idea of adapting to changing times.The fourth part discusses the features of the higher college for women in the United States,including the formation of au school relations,widen the service scope and develop high quality development strategy.The fifth part mainly combines with the problems existing in the development of higher college for women in the United States and the future development trend,explore the development of higher college for women in the United States for the reference to the development of China's women's college.
