Reading,accompanied by a person's life,always plays an important role in promoting the continued growth and development of people;for students,extracurricular reading is helpful to promote the development of students' cognition,emotion,morality,intelligence and other aspects,then enrich and shape the students' spiritual world.As Sue Home Linsky said,only when children walk into the book,the real education begin.Extracurricular reading is an important way for students to increase their knowledge and broaden their horizons,and it is also an important way to cultivate students' good character,cultivate their sentiment and improve their reading ability.In the background of advocating universal reading,extracurricular reading in primary school has been the concern of all parties;and In recent years,with the gradual popularity of network reading,electronic reading and other new ways of reading,it have a certain influence on the pupils' extracurricular reading status.Therefore,in the current popular electronic products and new reading methods continue to enter the world of students' reading,we need to know more about the extracurricular reading of primary school students.On the basis of previous studies,combined with the current development situation,this paper takes the XX city primary school as an example,using the method of questionnaire and interview to investigate the extracurricular reading of primary school students.This article mainly from reading attitude,reading time,reading content,reading behavior and reading atmosphere and guidance those five dimensions to carry out the questionnaire survey,and then interviewed teachers and students.Through the investigation,we found that there are some problems in the extracurricular reading of students,such as the passive reading attitude,the entertainment content and the narrow scope of reading,short readingschedule and the reading atmosphere needs to be improved.Therefore,analysis the existence of extracurricular reading problems and found the cause of the problems are the following: the heavy academic burden on students,suitable for children to read the extracurricular books not many,the impact of image media and the utilitarian understanding of adult to extracurricular reading.On this basis,this study puts forward some suggestions and measures to solve the current problems,and promote students to enjoy reading,form the habit of reading..First of all,to stimulate demand,cultivate interest,including,reading books aloud to children,carry out reading exchange activities and take appropriate incentive measures;secondly,build the atmosphere of parent-child reading,including the parents set up a reasonable reading concept,model demonstration and to enhance the communication with the children;and then,proper guidance,independent reading,including the selection of outstanding books to guide students respect and grasp the interest and widely read tension;finally,reasonable arrangement,form a habit,including rational planning time,strengthen the daily reading.
