The Chinese curriculum is dedicated to improving students' Chinese literacy,In the actual teaching process,teachers pay attention to improving students' ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing,of which reading accounts for a large proportion.Reading is an activity that uses language to acquire information,understand the world,develop thinking,and acquire aesthetic experience and knowledge,Reading can effectively promote the long-term development of students.No matter how good the classroom reading teaching effect is,the knowledge that students get in 40 minutes is limited.Extracurricular reading is an important way to get a lot of information and knowledge,so it is very important for students to read outside the textbook in their spare timeThe middle grade students in primary school have no heavy academic burden,but also have a certain literacy foundation,they are in a better stage to promote extracurricular reading.This paper is based on the study of the extracurricular reading of the middle grade students in five primary schools in Tianxin District.Through the questionnaire survey of the students' extracurricular reading interest,extracurricular reading habits,the implementation of extracurricular reading in school and the family reading atmosphere,Combined with the data analysis,there are many positive points in the extracurricular reading of middle grade students in primary school,But at the same time,we find some common but very critical problems: the utilization rate of primary school library is low,which needs to be improved;teachers have supervision over students' extracurricular reading,but they lack reading guidance,and the effect of reading class is not ideal;parents hold a positive attitude towards their children's extracurricular reading,but lack of parent-child co reading,the family reading atmosphere is lacking.In view of the characteristics and problems existing in the extracurricular reading of primary school students,combined with the reading characteristics of middle school students and the requirements they should meet,based on the three levels of schools,parents and teachers,this paper puts forward effective strategies for the implementation of extracurricular reading.In the process of students' extracurricular reading,teachers' guidance is essential,In view of the key problem that extracurricular reading teachers have little guidance,Combined with the recommended reading list for middle grade students in primary school,this paper presents a design scheme of extracurricular reading teaching based on Teachers' guidance,which can provide reference cases for the majority of front-line teachers,promote the effective implementation of extracurricular reading courses,and promote students to carry out effective extracurricular reading activities.
