Since the new curriculum reform implementing,there is about 1/6 Chinese ancient narrative texts selected in current high school Chinese textbooks.Therefore,the teaching of Chinese ancient narrative texts became much more important in the class teaching of Chinese in high school.With the narrative theory as main study method and the pedagogy and psychology theory as supplementary study methods,I tried to analyze and discuss all the selection of Chinese ancient narrative texts in high school Chinese textbooks of the edition of People's Education Press systematically.This thesis consists of three chapters.This thesis consists of three chapters.In Chapter 1,I classified the texts selection into four categories: Chinese ancient narrative poems,Chinese ancient historical biography literature,Chinese ancient dramas and Chinese ancient novels.Then the content and characteristics of the four texts categories was explained respectively.Focus on woman's fate,the ancient narrative poems depicted several female images such as Dou E,Liu Lanzhi,etc.The ancient historical biography literature always narrate real historical events and heroic characters such as Zhu Zhiwu,Jing Ke,Liu Bang etc.The ancient Chinese dramas created two female figures,kindhearted and civilian Dou E and rebellious noble girl Du Liniang.The ancient novels which excerpted from famous works created many vivid images such as Cao Cao,Lin Chong,Lin Daiyu,etc.In Chapter 2,I studied the narrative characteristics of the four texts categories with narrative theory methods,then explained the narrative characteristics of these texts from four aspects including narrator,narrative perspective,narrative time and character types.Assisted with teaching examples in textbooks,I explained these characteristics as follows: Explicit narrator was used in novels Lin Daiyu Enters Jia Mansion,Yu Tangchun,implicit narrator was used in Chinese drama Snow in Midsummer;Omniscient perspective was often found in historical literature,while limited perspective was found in Meng,Snow in Midsummer,omniscient perspective and limited perspective were both used in Everlasting Regret,Lin Daiyu Enters Jia Mansion.In Biography of Su Wu,JIng ke Put-out the King of Qin,the author made a comprehensive use of several different narration rhythms;These narrative texts,which mainly use chronologically narration,always arrange repetition on narrative language and narrative content;There are round characters such as Cao Cao,Lin Daiyu Song Jiang and flat characters such as Meng,Yang Yuhuan,Li Kui in Chinese ancient narrative texts.Aiming to make use of the study result and collusion in practical teaching process,in Chapter 3,I came up with several reasonable and practicable teaching strategies accord to the new curriculum standards and the characteristics of these texts.These teaching strategies including teaching by story strategy,emotional teaching strategy,teaching with narrative rhythm strategy,teaching from narrative perspective strategy,etc.,which applies to different texts categories.In addition,there contains corresponding teaching examples in assist with the explanation of these teaching strategies.The teaching strategies and ideas in this thesis can expand the instructional theories on the selection of Chinese ancient narrative texts and improve the current teaching methods in high school Chinese class,as well as increasing teaching efficiency.
