The PEP is textbooks of the Chinese language teaching materials published in the longest time, also have the biggest impact. Guangdong version of teaching materials published although time is not long, but by the coastal developed areas in China, influenced by regional economic culture, also the unique, with distinctive features.Based on the PEP and Guangdong version of high school language compulsory teaching material of ancient chosen as the research object, using literature method, data statistics, etc., discusses the similarities on the two versions in selected articles, read-helping materials and notes.The first part for the two version of selected works of ancient system comparative study. Effects of two editions of textbook compilation principles, numbers and proportion of selected text in the table of contents, text authors(source) and the dynasties, selection of themes and genres compared on several aspects. Studies have shown that two editions of textbooks selection persists in the quality and standards of beauty, with classic. People’s education version of the classical equilibrium quantity distribution in the book and Guangdong Education Press change of amplitude distribution is relatively large.
