Layered teaching is a teaching method where schools use certain standards for grouping students.And according to the characteristics of different students,different teaching contents and teaching methods are chosen in order to achieve the teaching goal.The sense of life meaning is the degree where people can sense,understand or see their life meaning,as well as the degree where people can realize their life purpose,mission and initial goals,which consists of Presence of meaning and Search for meaning.In this division,students are grouped into different levels and under different emotional evaluation,which has a profound effect on the students.Therefore,students' life meaning differed,which is the research focus of the thesis.This paper adopts the measurement scale of "Meaning of Life Questionnaire(MLQ)to measure the level of high school students' sense of life meaning in different layered classes.Study has found that: students' life meaning varies at different layered classes.The students in the first layer rank first,followed by the students in the second layer.The lowest scorers are the students in the third layer.Observing the result from the two dimensions of the meaning of life questionnaire,we can find that the dimension of Seeking Meaning in life are significantly higher than the dimension of Possession Meaning in life in the layer-one students;The Seeking meaning in life is slightly above the Possession meaning in life in the layer-two students;The Possession meaning in life scores slightly higher than the Seeking meaning in life in the layer-three students.The conclusions drawn from the study are as follows:(1)The effect of layered teaching on the students' sense of life meaning is very significant,and there is a significant difference in the students' average score of life meaning scale(F=4.406,p=0.,026).(2)In the scale “grade”,there is a significant difference in the sense of life meaning.(3)In the scale “hometown”,there is a significant difference in the sense of life meaning.And the students from the urban areas score higher than those from rural areas.(4)In the scale “accommodation”,there is a significant difference in the sense of life meaning.And the students living in dormitories score higher than those living in homes.(5)In the scale “position”,there is a significant difference in the sense of life meaning.And the students with a position score higher than those without a position.(6)In the scale “academic achievements”,there is a significant difference in the sense of life meaning.(7)In the scale “hobbies”,there is a significant difference in the sense of life meaning.Students with almost no hobby score significantly lower than those with more than three kinds of hobbies,in addition,students with one or two hobbies score significantly lower than those with more than three kinds of hobbies.(8)In the scale “parents' degree of education”,there is a significant difference in the sense of life meaning.Students whose parents are undergraduate score significantly higher than those whose parents are senior high school students;Students whose parents are specialist qualifications score significantly higher than those whose parents are senior high school students;students whose parents are high school students score significantly lower than those whose parents are junior high school students or below.
