A Comparative Study On Sino-Japanese Aged Population Employment

Currently,China has entered into aging society,and the latest data of NBS shows that till the end of 2015,the total population of China reached 1.37462 billion,wherein those above 65 years old are 14.386 million,accounting for 10.5% of total population.Aging population has gradually become a focus of concern,and there are increasing scholars studying aging population and senior citizen employment and others.In developed country such as Japan,the aging population causes labor shortage,aging of labor force and other problems,which intensifies social pension burden and leads to slow economic growth or economic plight.Undoubtedly,promoting employment of senior citizens is an important way to relieve the problem of labor shortage and pension burden,thus promotes the development of senior citizen employment objectively.Based on the existing research results,this thesis will make prospective comparative study on aging of population and senior citizens employment in China and Japan.By lateral comparative analysis of field characteristics of employment,education background,governmental policies and others,this thesis finds that China lags behind Japan obviously in developing and utilizing senior labor resources.In order to promote senior citizen employment,China should provide reliable legal protection,improve service system for senior citizens,and improve their employment intention,trying to make more efforts and attempts to promote the fairness and sustainable development of senior citizens?social insurance and employment system.The aging population is an important part of the whole labor resources that can?t be neglected.It?s a strategic problem to learn about the China?s current situation of aging population and its employment status,and further effectively cultivating senior labor resources according to the future population trend.It?s closely related to a country?s sustainable and stable economic development in the future.As close neighbors,China and Japan have a lot of similarities in traditional culture,relations between generations and other aspects.by making use of Japan?s successful experience of promoting employment of senior citizens and developing senior labor resources,it can provide some inspirations and reference for China to promote employment of citizens.It has positive effects for ?taking preventive measures? in aging population problem,and further helps to realize the rejuvenation of China and confront the challenge of the aging society with few children.
