The creative talent is the core of a country's development speed,the famous American psychologist Guilford in his intellectual structure theory has pointed out: people mainly rely on the creativity of divergent thinking.Therefore,the key lies in the innovation of divergent thinking,only in education and cultivate students' divergent thinking,the point of view of the problem that level,new ideas,to lay a solid foundation,in order to adapt to the needs of the national development,to enable students to occupy the dominan t position in the competition as unknown after.As a junior high school geography teacher,what I suppose is whether the training of divergent thinking can be improved in the effective teaching model of geography class.What I teach is a school which is oriented to the whole city,and most of the students have difficulties in their family.Their family education environment,living conditions,different personalities,will also lead to divergent thinking will be different from other schools.In order to seek the effective way to improve the students' divergent thinking ability,on the basis of theory basis,in order to prepare our students as the research object,carry out the experimental teaching and the analysis of data,summarizes the conclusions,in order to promote the students' divergent thinking and put forward feasible measures.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part mainly describes the divergent thinking in the background and research progress of junior high school geography teaching,and introduces the concept and characteristics of divergent thinking,to explore the relationship between and on the basis of the subject;the second part is based on our school to prepare students as the research object,carry out the junior high school geography teaching to promote divergent thinking and experiment.The experimental data using SPSS software are analyzed;the third part of the combination of the results of the experiment,according to their own teaching experience,summed up the junior high school geography teaching,the cultivation of divergent thinking should follow the fundamental principles and ways to cultivate divergent thinking;the fourth part is the summary and recommendations to the full text,and points out the defects.
